This is where I will file my experience on the plan diet (they don’t prefer the term diet, but that’s the word to best describe it so…).

The Plan is an anti-inflammatory diet that focuses on finding what is inflammatory for each individual. This means that instead of someone telling me what is and isn’t inflammatory, I find out what affects me and then avoid it.

I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and seasonal allergies. I also have a condition called mastocytosis which is dermatological and my doctor has suggested and tested me for PCOS (though she didn’t make an official diagnosis). All of these conditions are auto-immune. The book addresses the fact that inflammation could be the cause of these auto-immune issues. I’m not a doctor and I’m not interested in finding out the chicken and egg of this, but I’m very interested in helping my body. This blog details my individual journey finding my plan.
